UiWE starts up a master program course running through March on social innovation and design methodology at Malmö University’s school of Arts and Communication, Culture- and media production. The course explores cultural analysis and strategies to promote social change. In this case it’s about developing cross-sector solutions to one of the great health challenges in western societies: child obesity. How do you convert knowledge into business? That is the subject of the an introductory course February 1st at Copenhagen Business Centre. The course is geared toward the entrepreneur who wants to start his own business and uses a combination of theory and first hand experience.
Christian gives a crash course in cultural communication and planning at Malmö University’s masters program Kultur- och Medievetenskap. The product is a mapping of cultural potential and challenges in the city of Århus, looking ahead to the bid for Århus Cultural Capital 2017.
UiWe and the task-force for public-private partnerships at Erhvervs- og byggestyrelsen (Danish Enterprise and Construction Authority) arranged a workshop at the municipality of Copenhagen on collaboration, culture and value in urban planning and administration. The workshop was attended by lawyers and economists of KEC (Copenhagen Center of Business), Center for Bydesign (Center of Urban Design) and Borgerservice (Citizen services )
We have been invited to speak at Studio X in New York on the 5th of November. Studio X is a studio for experimental design and research run by Columbia University. Today UiWe recieved a grant from Statens Kunstfond (Danish Art Foundation) to attend Creative Places + Spaces in Toronto october 28th – one of the world’s leading forums on creativity.
Under the theme of ‘The Collaborative City’, the conference will engage global perspectives on collaboration and connect them with local change makers. Styrelsen for Bibliotek og Medier (Agency for Libraries and Media) invites UiWe to
join a task group working to propose new partnerships for libraries.
The group is a part of a project launched by Kulturministeriet (The Minestry of Culture) aiming to rethinking the role of libraries in the knowledge society.
