UiWe begins the second phase of research, planning and idea development for a cultural hub in the renowned Danish summer town Hornbæk, North Sealand. Second phase includes designing a process with creative, commercial and local actors aiming at creating a concept truly fit for the site and the town.
The results from first phase was compiled in a 50 page publication.
UiWe documents the official launch of the ambitious LYSLYD (LIGHT SOUND) project, initiated by KIT (Copenhagen International Theatre) and 10 municipalities in the Copenhagen region. The EU-funded project focuses on light and sound in an urban context and involves a range of scientific and commercial partners working in this field.
The documentary “Battle of Rabbit Town” (55 min.) directed by Christian Pagh has been selected for the official competition at Odense Film Festival 2009. The film follows two favela leaders in Recife, Brazil, during a tough and corrupt election for city government. Battle of Rabbit Town premiered at Copenhagen Dox November 2008

UiWe is collaborating with architecture collective MKL on the exhibition “Zoom on the boom – seven samples of Chinese cities under change”. The exhibition is based on the team’s spring trip to Hong Kong and the Pearl River Delta.
