Making peeing fair
UiWE designed the female urinal Pollee in collaboration with designers Sara Nanna & Nuala Collins. The aim was to address the problematic conditions facing girls at festivals, concerts and public in events. Pollee was introduced as a prototype at Roskilde Festival in 2011. Based on a thorough, user-oriented design process, Pollee was designed as an open-air urinal, made to use in a semi-squat position. This unique peeing concept enables fast, efficient and easy peeing-options for girls.

A platform for a peevolution
UiWE has put the challenge of peeing in public spaces on the agenda with the platform PeeBetter – human solutions in public space at www.peebetter.dk. We present thoughts, solutions and ideas on how to address this banal problem that causes so much trouble – not least for girls. PeeBetter enables people to participate, comment and share ideas, involving the users in creating solution that makes life easier for people at festival, outdoor parties and events.
